We would like North Bay Legislative Leaders to know how the proposed termination of the Physics degree programs will impact the area. The most effective way to rise up in their consciousness prior to their planned Public Hearing February 21, is to call their legislative offices on Tuesday February 18th.

A Sample Call:
State how the degree programs in Physics from SSU have a positive impact on your life and/or the North Bay Area.
Ask for:
1) Saving the Physics & Astronomy degree programs at Sonoma State
2) Pausing the funding cuts to SSU
3) Hiring a permanent president at SSU to lead a fair and informed budget process.

Briefly and politely state your support for the continuation of Physics & Astronomy degree programs at Sonoma State University.
Support for a moratorium on all program cuts and the resumption of a presidential search at SSU is encouraged.

The CSU Chancellor, and the CSU Board of Trustees have reiterated their support for the plan to cut programs and end the Department of Physics & Astronomy degree programs. Please copy them on any correspondence with your legislators or other public officials.​
